Logan Yoon will return in a stay busy fight

3kingsboxing has learned undefeated super-lightweight prospect Logan Yoon (12-0, 10 KOs) will face John Rentería (16-4-1, 12 KOs).

Yoon is currently the WBO-NABO Youth Super Lightweight Champion. Pundits recognize this boxer-puncher for his cat-like reflexes and surprising power; which he put on display by knocking out his first ten opponents.

The undefeated 19 year old Hawaiian is already rated #11 by the WBO. Although failing to earn the KO, he has shown promising boxing ability in his last two step-up fights.

Rentería is a 26 year old fighing out of Panama City. He is a former WBA Fedecaribe super-lightweight/welterweight champion whose most noticeable win was against the undefeated David Lobo Ramrez in 2016. The former minor title champion has fought in his home country against unknown competition.

INTERESTING FACTS

Yoon has sparred with Jorge Linares in preparation for his fight against Vasyl Lomachenko. He has fought eight times in Mexico and five times in the US. This will mark his fourth contest this year.

On the other hand, Rentería has only fought outside Panama once. His first visiting bout was in Republica Dominicana. This go-round, he will be fighting in the US for the first time.

Yoon will be defending his NABO title for the third time. In this fight, he will have a height, reach and power advantage.

The super lightweight division is stacked full of names and the World Boxing Super Series tournament is looming. That makes this a prime opportunity for the young fighter to move up in the rankings.

This contest is on schedule for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Hollywood on September 28th.
