Gary Cully to Begin Targeting World Titles and Big Names
When lightweight pugilist Gary “The Diva” Cully (14-0, 8 KO’s) last tested his might, he obliterated Miguel Vazquez in five short rounds. Out the gate, it was clear that the taller, ganglier and more mobile Cully was going to be a problem for the well-weathered Vazquez. The Diva almost shimmied circles around the former champion while hammering him with increasingly accurate shots.
The abuse culminated into a straight right down the pipe that melted Vazquez’s equilibrium faster than alien blood. It was the type of win that the Irishman wanted to secure while on the visible DAZN platform. Ranked at #10 (WBA), Cully is not concerned about testing the waters because he is looking to face the best now. Going a step further, the Diva is calling out for all the belt holders and big dogs.
“I want world titles, I’ve said that from day one since I turned pro. I’ve got the right team behind me. I was calling for world title shots when I was 2-0 and 3-0, but we’ve timed it right. We’ve got the right fights at the right time…so I want to start pushing on and looking for big names in the division. ”
Let’s see if anyone higher up the ranking food chain takes him up and this open challenge.
