Joe Joyce to Finally Get his Hands on Joseph Parker this September!
Possibly on September 24, it looks like we’ll see two top ten heavyweights clash in a very pivotal matchup. According to ESPN, heavyweight contender Joe Joyce (14-0, 13KOs) will take on former WBO champion Joseph Parker (30-2, 21KOs).

Joyce, who’s ranked number 1 in the WBO, 5 in the IBF and 2 in the WBC, has a chance to solidify and stamp his world title opportunity if he can get by Parker. Prior to his most recent knockout win over Christian Hammer in July, he expressed his hopes that Parker would face him next.
As for Parker, he’s ranked number 2 in the WBO, number 3 in the WBC, six in the IBF and number 11 in the WBA. A win over Joyce would undoubtedly catapult him in the standings, the WBO in particular. In his last fight, a rematch with Derek Chisora, Parker would earn a more convincing win.
This matchup is a very good one with a lot of intrigue to it. Will Parker be able to deal with the height, power, and pressure of Joyce? Can Joyce stay in front of the more elusive boxer-puncher in Parker long enough to get off his power shots? A lot of answers will be answered come fight night.
